Dodgers Seek "Division" Title: 104 Different Prices To Choose From.
I remember when it was so easy to splurge on that $27 box seat ticket, grab a row N-Q seat down the third base line, and hope that you’d benefit from the lovely night crowd, maybe see a random scuffle in the stands, and chow down that lusciously addictive Dodger dog with a nice cold beer. I remember when game day seats were the same price as online sales or advance sales. I remember when you were on a budget and wanted to catch a game, the $14 “orange”, or Lodge seats, were the best bargain. You were always in foul ball territory and you had a perfect view of the grand stadium. Now, I’m not sure what the hell to choose from. The color content and division of the stadium has left me mystified and brutally perplexed. I hear Dodger Stadium is going to implement a 104 different price varieties stratum in order to provide adequate and sustainable choice for its consumer. As the Dodger’s chief operating officer was quoted as saying in the Los Angeles Times, "We're trying to offer multiple options for our fans." Thanks buddy, but I was keen on those 5-7 options I had about five years ago. Oh, and my team hasn’t won a pennant in 19 years so I don’t know where you come off hiking my prices.
I think slicing and dicing those seats provides me with ample fuel for a “return to O’Malley’s” way of Dodger life. At least we could win playoff games with them. At least I could stumble onto the ballpark and purchase a ticket with a clear idea of where I would be sitting. Now, it’s probably easier to take the 5 South on a Thursday afternoon at 5:30pm than actually get a ticket at the lovely blue shacks behind Left-center field. Nostalgia is horrendous at 12:10 in the afternoon. Hershiser, please save us.

You haven't won a pennant in 19 years? Try being a Pirates fan, we haven't finished .500 in 15 years. And they raised prices on us following a 100 loss season!
My condolences "anonymous". Yet I would assume that whatever price hikes you endured will have beneficial consequences when it comes to salary for your players. At least you don't have one of the highest budget discrepancies like the Dodgers. I sincerely hope we aren't inevitably spited like the Yanks or Real Madrid in Spain.
DId they raise concession prices as well? Our "Dodger dogs" went up a bit last season..and to compensate they added $8 sushi. Bastardos! Thanks for the comment.
I agree man....I also am a Blue fan and was trying to buy a ticket and am (I think) a bit colorblind....I could barely tell which section I was buying a ticket for last year......
I don't like the McCourts. I also think the all you can eat seats in the left (or is is right?) field pavillion is a dumb idea. Who really eats $25 worth of food at Dodger Stadium?
Oh yeah... Dodgers consistently get great attendance, but they don't really seem to appreciate those attending. :(
